19 copies of The Hollywood Free Paper, founded and published by Duane Pederson, containing observations and articles by prominent figures in the early Jesus Movement: Larry Norman’s frequent “As I See It” column, commentary by theologian and social critic Os Guinness, and more including advertisements for Christian music events, new album releases, and pages of curiosities from the era.
The Hollywood Free Paper was a Christian response to countercultural underground newspapers. It’s a time capsule of simpler times and high expectations for the Jesus Movement in the early ’70s. Some people are offering single issues on eBay for up to $100 each (which would be $1,900 for all these). THIS listing is for 19 issues, a few of which are duplicates, for $275, postage paid. Buy 'em and sell them on eBay for $30 each to double your money. Or put on a hippie wig and stand outside your church, handing them out on April 1st. Whatever! My favorite one is "Jesus is Better Than Hash"!
